Prescott, Wisconsin – REV Materials LLC, an innovative and disruptive new company that manufactures custom compounds for the plastics industry, launched at the Innoplast Solutions Polymer Compounding Conference held from June 7-9 in Newark, New Jersey. With mass customization becoming the new normal, REV makes it efficient, quick and seamless to move away from standardized, generic products to customized materials that meet its customers’ true development needs. REV Materials is an on-line, fully e-Commerce enabled business that provides small, economic sample sizes for rapid testing and product development iterations of plastic compounds. REV’s in-stock compounds will ship in 24-48 hours and iterations on these formulations can be turned around in 7-14 days, which sets a new industry standard. REV also provides an option to create new custom formulations through a proven development (R&D) process.
REV has launched with 38 materials in a library that features highly filled master batches as well as unique and differentiated letdown formulations. It is REV’s goal to become the leader in the specialty materials mass customization space with an ever-expanding library of custom plastic compounds. REV Materials was incubated and launched at the Interfacial incubator located at the Cervenka Center in Prescott, Wisconsin. It took 12 months from idea-to-development-to-launch of the REV business, and because REV leveraged the capability of Interfacial Consultants and its world-class operation, the cost from development to launch was estimated to be 10% of a typical launch of this type of start-up.
